Bijago is an ecommerce platform that helps merchants build and run their online stores. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information transparently.

Bijago privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Bijago LLC ("Bijago," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit bijago.com, sign up as a merchant, or interact with a store built on Bijago (the "Site").

• Cookies – Data files placed on your device, used to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. ( Learn more about cookies and how to disable them: http://www.allaboutcookies.org )
• Log Files – Track actions on our dashboard and collect IP address, browser type, ISP, referring/exit pages, and timestamps, mainly for security and troubleshooting.

Customers of a Bijago-powered store

If you are a customer of a store built on Bijago, the merchant you purchased from collects and controls your personal information (such as your name, email, shipping and billing address, and order details) for the purpose of fulfilling your order. Bijago processes that information on the merchant's behalf, as described in "How Bijago handles merchants' customer data" below. For questions about your own order or personal information, please contact the merchant directly — Bijago is not the merchant of record for goods sold through the platform.

• Process your subscription billing, AI credit purchases, and platform fees
• Communicate with you about your account, orders, and platform updates
• Screen for potential fraud or misuse of the platform
• Provide customer support

• Our AI content provider — to generate optional AI-assisted product and content suggestions. Only product/content details are sent, never customer personal information.
• Cloud hosting and storage providers — to host the platform and store uploaded media.
• As required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

• If you are a merchant's customer and have questions about how your information is used, please contact that merchant directly.
• If you are a merchant, you are responsible for having your own privacy policy and lawful basis for collecting your customers' information.

• Sign in with Google – If you choose to sign in using your Google account, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this only to create and authenticate your Bijago account — we do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or any other Google Workspace data.
• Google Merchant Center (optional, merchant-initiated) – If you connect your store to Google Merchant Center, you authorize Bijago to read and write your product catalog (via Google's Content API for Shopping, scope: www.googleapis.com/auth/content) so your products can be listed on Google Shopping. We use this access only to sync the product data you manage in Bijago — nothing more.

• We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, and we never sell or transfer Google user data to data brokers, third parties for their own marketing, or any party for determining creditworthiness or lending eligibility.
• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train any generalized (non-personalized) AI or machine learning models. Our optional AI content tools use only the product/content details you provide, never data obtained through Google APIs.
• Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are only ever decrypted server-side, at the point of use.
• If you disconnect Google Merchant Center or delete your Bijago account, we stop using the associated Google access and delete the stored tokens.

• What we access – The Facebook Pages you manage, a Page access token, your product catalog(s) connected to that Page, and (if linked) the username, profile picture, and follower count of the Instagram Business Account associated with that Page.
• Why we access it – Solely to publish and keep your Bijago product catalog in sync with your connected Facebook/Instagram Shop, and to display that connection's status inside your Bijago dashboard. We do not access your personal Facebook profile, posts, friends list, or messages.

• We do not sell or share Meta Platform Data with data brokers or any third party for their own marketing purposes, and we do not use it to serve advertisements.
• We do not use Meta Platform Data to develop, improve, or train any generalized (non-personalized) AI or machine learning models.
• Meta access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are only ever decrypted server-side, at the point of use.
• You can disconnect your Facebook Page/Instagram Shop at any time from your store's Sales Channels settings, which immediately stops any further access and deletes the stored token. You may also request deletion of any Meta Platform Data we hold about you by emailing hello@bijago.com — we will delete it within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with law.

• If you are a merchant's customer, please direct requests about your own information to that merchant — Bijago will assist merchants with these requests as needed to comply with applicable law.
